I grew up in small-town Winona Lake, IN and completed my undergraduate studies at Grace College and Theological Seminary. Following undergrad I worked in clinical research for the sports medicine, extremities, and trauma departments of a locally headquartered orthopaedic company. I then moved to Buies Creek, NC where I attended Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine - home of the Fighting Camels. During medical school I travelled back to Indiana for a wedding and met my wife, Megan. We got married in 2021 and moved to Tennessee just a year later when I matched with the University of Tennessee Nashville - Family Medicine Residency. During residency I had the privilege of serving as chief resident and completed an incredible 3 years in 2025.
As the newest faculty member, I look forward to the opportunity to be involved in both inpatient and outpatient care, resident education, and improving the health literacy of our patients. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my wife, ultimate frisbee, pickleball, rucking, as well as watching both collegiate (Purdue) and professional sports. Megan and I have 2 cats that we adopted intern year, Mack and Finn, and hope to grow our family with 4 puppy paws after we close on our house in August 2025.
